Nike Tentpole Moments - Social Listening Analysis

To wrap 2021, the Nike team performed a social listening analysis to better how major tent-pole moments impact the conversations happening on social. Taking an analyst role, we utilized Nike’s proprietary analytics platforms to uncover yearly trends, trending content ideas, and competitor brand insights.Tentpole moments included Black History Momth, Back to School, Olympics, Holidays, etc.

Outcome:

  • Identify strategies to leverage content messaging and exposure through influencer partnerships. For example, wormen’s sports and athleisure fashion.

  • Provide platform-specific strategy when aligning on KPI’s for content (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Reddit, etc.)

  • Highlight the timeframe to run marketing campaigns to align with SEO, hashtag, and keyword traffic.
